Qubic’s wallet patch changes how new seeds are generated.

The release notes record a security-sensitive change. That is different from a complete incident report.

What changed

Qubic wallet v4.26.4 lists an updated seed-generation method and a change to cryptographically secure generation. The linked commits are the primary record for what changed in this version.

Why it matters

A wallet can present a normal-looking address even when the secret behind it was generated badly. Updating how new secrets are created does not, by itself, demonstrate that an older secret is safe.

Take it into Forensia

Separate a wallet problem from a transaction.

The wallet questions explain what a public transaction can show and why a secret should never be supplied to an investigator or a website. For Qubic-specific recovery, use the project’s official guidance.

Forensia does not support native Qubic lookups. Release notes alone do not establish incident losses or recovery status.
