Compound III markets allow users to supply collateral and borrow a designated base asset. That market structure differs from earlier versions, so a familiar protocol name is not enough to interpret a transaction.

  1. 01

    Collateral enters a market

  2. 02

The account borrows the base asset

  3. 03

Repayment or liquidation changes the position

The investigation question

Was this borrowing, repayment or liquidation?

Confirm the market proxy and version against deployment documentation. Follow the market call and token movements together; a transfer by itself may omit the debt change.

What this guide does not establish

Current balances do not reconstruct a historical position. Complete position interpretation may require state not available in a basic lookup.
