On Stellar, Chainlink’s feed ID matters as much as the address.

The official release record explains a different way to select an oracle feed.

What changed

Chainlink’s changelog records Data Feeds becoming available on Stellar on 29 September. Its Stellar design uses a shared proxy and a 32-byte data_id to select a feed, rather than treating each feed as a separate proxy address.

Why it matters

An address can be only part of the identifier. If an analyst leaves out the selected feed, two interactions with the same contract can appear equivalent when they refer to different data.

Take it into Forensia

Follow the price input.

The oracle lesson explains why a price needs a source, update time and selection context. Use it to frame the questions before relying on any protocol’s quoted value.

Forensia does not support native Stellar lookups. This is a September release explained in October, not a new October launch.
